HABARNAITU (Intimate Subway Strangers)

Double entendre take on Silent Strike's feat. Lucia hypnotic song "Habar n-ai tu" (engl. "You have no clue")
consisting of a beat-driven basic montage of short videos of strangers in the subway.

The easily debatable but highly sensitive obstruction of intimacy in the public space was solely done for artistic purposes.

*

My intention was to highlight the detaching of oneself from the surrounding space through introspection
- or at the other end of the spectrum -
evasion via smart phone interaction.

*

Ultimately it's about the transparent capsule that people hide in through their crowded routine of everyday life,
and the immense source of poetry that everyone carries,
poetry which comes to light through imagination and only few seconds of intentional observation.

*

So, the double entendre ("You have no clue" - the title of the song) refers once, to the people around not knowing that I am filming them,
but also to me, having no clue about their thoughts and the depth of their intimate feelings.
